It is also possible to edit the highlights from various video sources onto one DVD and even add narration and music. Videotape and film both degrade over time and eventually break or become unusable. DVDs can be played thousands of times without any change in quality and DVDs are simply more convenient. The longer you wait to convert your old video or film footage the greater the chances that these keepsakes are lost forever.

Tips for preparing your photos for video transfer.
- For best results, the dimensions of your pictures will need to fit the proportions of a television screen. Select pictures that would lend themselves to those dimensions.
- Since you will be showing your photos on a screen that is usually much larger than your original picture, select pictures that are clear and in focus.
- Avoid textured or matted photographs.
- Number pictures in sequential order starting with 1. Use ballpoint pen, pencil, or post its to number your photographs. Never use felt tip pens that will leave ink smears.
- computer files are also acceptable but should be as large as possible with at least 740 pixels X 480 pixels
- You can select the music for your video, but always supply more music than you think you will need. We suggest one song for every 25 pictures you use.
